Professor and vice chair of pharmacology and toxicology at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Chauncey Leake Distinguished Professor of Pharmacology, and director of the Center for Addiction Sciences and Therapeutics. A behavioural neuropharmacologist by training, she works on the receptor pharmacology of substance use disorder and on turning that work into candidate treatments, which is the ground the pharmacology and addiction pages on this site stand on.
